BBQ Baked Beans

Quick and easy to put together using canned beans and a 5 minute barbecue sauce! Warning, it does bake for an hour, so it's an easy dish to put together and put in the oven while you concentrate on other parts of your meal! Delicious!

  • 1 8 X 8 baking dish
  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl


  • 1 -15 oz can Pinto Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 -15 oz can Kidney Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 -15 oz can Great Northern Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 -15 oz can Canellini Beans, rinsed and drained
  • ½ Med Red Onion, diced
  • 1 C Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce (see Sweet and Tangy BBQ sauce recipe-condiments)


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Add the rinsed and drained beans to an 8 x 8 baking dish. Top with diced red onions.
  • Pour 3/4 C of the Sweet and Tangy BBQ sauce over the beans and onions. Mix well.
  • Put your baking dish in the oven on the middle rack and heat for one hour.
  • Remove the beans from the oven. If your beans are a bit dry, add more BBQ sauce and mix to combine. Serve and enjoy!

Four cans of beans and a quick and easy sauce! Easy to prep and then bake while you prepare other dishes for your summer barbecues! So delicious! You can use any type of beans you choose, all the same kind or mix them up! Great pantry dish because you probably have all of the ingredients in your pantry already!
