Buffalo Sauce (Oil Free)
This oil free buffalo sauce is very versatile! Use it as a dip for any breaded vegetables, mix it into the Mac N Cheeze Sauce for Buffalo Mac N Cheeze or just drizzle it over baked potatoes and vegetables! So delicious and healthier than the processed sauces!

- High Speed Blender
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Hot Sauce (See notes for reducing salt)
- ½ Cup Vegetable Broth (to reduce sodium, use salt free)
- â…“ Cup Cashews, raw/unsalted, soaked and drained) (See quick soak method and nut substitutions in notes)
- ¼ Cup Vinegar, white
- 1 tsp Garlic, granulated
- 1 tsp Onion, granulated
Options
- 1/2-1 tsp Smoked Paprika (for a smokey sauce!)
- â…“ C Sunflower Seeds or Pepitas (to make it nut free)
Instructions
- Follow the directions for quick soaking the cashews that can be found in the notes section.
- While your cashews are soaking, add the remaining ingredients to your high speed blender.
- After the cashews are soaked, drained, rinsed and drained again, add them to the blender.
- Process the ingredients on high until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- This sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Notes
***Quick soak method for cashews: Place cashews in a microwave safe glass measuring cup. Cover with water. Microwave on high for about 5 minutes. Be sure to watch it as it may boil over. Drain, rinse and drain again before use.
***Nut Free Options: Substitute raw unsalted pepitas or unsalted sunflower seeds in place of the cashews.
*** For low salt diets, check labels for sodium content.
