Equipment

  • High Speed Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 -15 oz can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed-reserve the liquid (Use low sodium or salt free for low salt diet)
  • C Roasted Red Peppers (see notes)
  • 2 Large Garlic Cloves, peeled
  • 3 TBSP Tahini
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice, fresh squeezed
  • 2-3 TBSP Aquafaba (chickpea brine)
  • tsp Black Pepper

Optional Add In

  • 1-2 tsp Siracha Sauce, to taste
  • ½ tsp Smoked Paprika

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to the high speed blender.
  • Blend on high until desired consistency is achieved.
  • If the hummus is a bit to thick for your preference, you can add either aquafaba (chickpea brine) or some of the water from the jar of roasted red peppers.
  • Add only 1 TBSP of liquid at a time, process and then check the consistency. If you add too much liquid at once, your hummus will become runny.
  • Enjoy!

Notes
