Fire Roasted Red Pepper Hummus (oil free)
Who doesn't like quick and easy? This delicious hummus can be made in about 10 minutes and it has great flavor from the roasted red peppers. It is a versatile recipe that can be used as a dip with vegetables, bread or tortilla chips or even as a spread in a vegetable wrap for lunch! So delicious and a great go to for sharing at parties!

Equipment
- High Speed Blender
Ingredients
- 1 -15 oz can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed-reserve the liquid (Use low sodium or salt free for low salt diet)
- â…” C Roasted Red Peppers (see notes)
- 2 Large Garlic Cloves, peeled
- 3 TBSP Tahini
- 2 TBSP Lemon Juice, fresh squeezed
- 2-3 TBSP Aquafaba (chickpea brine)
- â…› tsp Black Pepper
Optional Add In
- 1-2 tsp Siracha Sauce, to taste
- ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to the high speed blender.
- Blend on high until desired consistency is achieved.
- If the hummus is a bit to thick for your preference, you can add either aquafaba (chickpea brine) or some of the water from the jar of roasted red peppers.
- Add only 1 TBSP of liquid at a time, process and then check the consistency. If you add too much liquid at once, your hummus will become runny.

***If using jarred roasted red peppers, be sure to purchase the peppers that are packed in water and NOT IN OIL!)
